Creating images from chemistry and sunshine, is as a basic as making sand drawings at the beach. With photographer aficionado Aaron Serafino keeping me moving past mistakes, I realized mistakes are what cyanotypes like best. Lifelong friend and printmaker Richard Rydell provided feedback from the Maine coast. With a studio full of collected objects, California sun and general ideas of how to use mylar to draw into the prints, experiments piled up and nothing was beyond reach to get expose. A cyanotype font idea got as far as an O, M and X letterforms.
